  • Help raise much-needed funds for Animals Count. Go to our Fundraising page.

  • Lobby your MP to sign Early Day Motions (EDMs) related to animal issues proposed in the 2007-2008 parliamentary session.
EDM 480 (ANIMAL PROTECTION POLICY) is particularly exciting. It 'calls upon the Government to establish an Animal Protection Commission or similar body, answerable to Parliament via a Minister, with a remit which includes the ongoing examination of the ethical status and rights of animals and how they are affected by policy-making, the facilitation of genuine public participation throughout policy processes which affect animals, and the development of a cross-Government agenda for animal protection.'
    More recent EDMs include:
EDM 2189 (TAKING FORWARD THE MARINE BILL)
EDM 2183 (SCIENTIFIC PROCEDURES ON ANIMALS)
EDM 2120 (CHINA'S DOG MEAT POLICY)
EDM 2072 (EU AND FUR TRADE)
Please ask your MP to sign all these relevant EDMs.

Please contact us if you are interested in supporting us and getting involved in this unique opportunity to make a real difference for animals at the political level.
